Letter of Thanks from Naureen Hussainaly

I am writing to thank you for your generous RNABC Nursing Education Bursary. I was very happy and appreciative to learn that I was selected as the recipient of your bursary. When I learnt of this bursary through my school, BCIT, I knew that this was something I should apply to.

I am currently enrolled in the Bachelors of Science in Nursing program at BCIT, and I plan to graduate in June of 2014. My passion for health care has been a part of my life for many years due to my involvement within my religious community, various voluntary services along with multiple life experiences that I have overcome. After graduation, I would like to obtain a position as an RN on a high acuity unit specifically a cardiac unit in a hospital so that I can solidify my nursing skills and better my critical thinking skills in order to provide a high standard of care to guide my nursing practice.

After some years of experience at the bedside, I would like to go back to school and work toward a Masters degree in education so that I could one day be a positive leader and role model to those who have exemplified these characteristics to me.

Thanks to you, I am one step closer to that goal. By awarding me the RNABC Nursing Education Bursary, you have lightened my financial burden which allows me to focus more on the most important aspect of school, learning. Your generosity has inspired me to help others and give back to the community. I hope one day I will be able to help students achieve their goals just as you have helped me.
