Celebrating Nurses

We hope you appreciate this short video poem “I am Your Nurse” by Julia Pileggi as we did (with credit to PHSA). The pictures and words include real BC nurses.
Thank you to all student nurses pursuing educational dreams. Thank you to all nurses. Thank you to caregivers, educators, researchers, nursing leaders and all nurses who are preparing and ready in our communities to provide quality healthcare.

The differences that nurses make every day are shining through during the pandemic and will continue long after the pandemic subsides.

Nursing Week 2020 marks the 200th anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birthday and the World Health Organization (WHO) has designated 2020 as the Year of Nurse and Midwife to honor her birthday and contributions to modern healthcare.

In the Year of the Nurse and Midwife – Thank you to all who support nurses and the future of nursing along with the Registered Nurses Foundation of BC (RNFBC).

“I am the one who learns your story. Not to judge how you got here but to best care for you…I celebrate your progress…”

– Julia Pileggi excerpted from I Am Your Nurse
